Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This policy is for people in Washington under the My Health My Data Act, and for anyone covered by a similar state law on consumer health data. Nuune is run by LEOMAS, s. r. o. (Slovak Republic). Our full Privacy Policy covers everything else.

1. The consumer health data we collect, and why

  • What you tell Nuune about your feelings, emotional wellbeing, relationship, intimacy or sex life, in chats, journal entries, check-ins and voice notes. Used to mediate your conversations, reflect on your entries and suggest exercises and deals.
  • What Nuune works out from it: emotion and sentiment scores, relationship health scores, patterns and how heavy an entry reads. Used to shape Nuune's replies and show you your progress.
  • Your tone of voice, analysed for emotional states, only if you turn voice on. Used to notice when a conversation is heating up.
  • Safety flags when a message suggests someone may be at risk of harm, with up to the last 200 characters of that message. Used to show crisis resources and let authorized staff review them.
  • Questionnaires you fill in about your personality, attachment or how you handle conflict. Used to personalise Nuune.
  • Your phone's precise position, only if you ask for a one-time location check. Used once to work out which state you are in, then discarded; never stored.

We collect it only with your consent: the app asks before its AI does anything, including before you make an account, and the demo on our website asks before your first message. What you write in the demo, or in the app before you make an account, is passed to Anthropic for the reply and not stored by us.

2. Where it comes from

  • You.
  • Your partner, when they share a chat or journal entry with you that says something about you.
  • Nuune's own analysis of the above.

3. What we share, and with whom

  • Service providers that process it for us under contract, only to run Nuune: Anthropic (the AI model that reads your messages to reply), Hume AI (tone of voice, only if voice is on), Convex (our database) and Vercel (our hosting). Our sign-in and error-reporting providers receive no consumer health data.
  • Your partner: what you choose to share with them, such as a shared chat or a journal entry.
  • Researchers, only with your separate consent: weekly summaries of numbers under a code instead of your identity, never your words (Privacy Policy, section 2.12).
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.

We have no affiliates, and we do not sell consumer health data.

4. Your rights and how to use them

  • Know and access: ask whether we collect or share your consumer health data, get a copy, and get a list of every third party we have shared it with, with their contact details.
  • Withdraw consent at any time in the app under Profile, Privacy.
  • Delete: delete your account in the app under Profile, Privacy, or ask us. When you ask us, we also ask our service providers to delete what they hold. Deleted data can remain in backups for up to 30 days.
  • Appeal: if we refuse a request, reply to our answer to appeal. If we refuse the appeal, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov.

Write to privacy@nuune.app. We answer within 45 days, free of charge, and never treat you differently for using these rights.
